Presider: All honor to you, Mary the Mother of God. You are our hope and our protection. Today you were raised above the choirs of angels to lasting glory with Christ, your Son and our Lord. Through your intercession he can strengthen us for life’s journey.

Lector: Mary sang that her spirit rejoices in God our Savior. For the church who rejoices in faith; for our bishops, clergy, religious and lay leaders to proclaim with Mary the Greatness of the Lord; for the seeds of Christian unity that all may be one; for our community, we pray:

Lector: Mary shouted that the Mighty One has done great things. For those whose minds are blinded and whose hearts are shuttered, for a harvest of justice and peace throughout the world; we pray:

Lector: Mary proclaimed Holy is God’s Name and God’s mercy is forever. For those who make laws; for those who enforce them; for lawyers and judges; for the accused; for their victims; for all on death row; we pray:

Lector: Mary was witness to God lifting up the lowly and filling the hungry with good things. For those facing the doubts and difficulties of disease; for the sick, for the seriously ill; for broken and wounded spirits everywhere; for caregivers; we pray:

Lector: Mary had faith in God’s promise to our ancestors. For the dead who no longer see the light of day, for all who have died; and for those who mourn them that they take hear from this feast that one day our bodies will also be united with God, we pray:

Presider: O Lord, by the intercession of the Virgin Mary, who bore the Savior of the world, hear these prayers of your people as we implore: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
